about me.
Orlando Pinzón is a Colombian-Canadian artist based in Toronto, whose work bridges the worlds of art, science, and spirituality. From a young age, he displayed a passion for color and an insatiable curiosity about other artists. At the age of 12, while taking classes at the Museum of Modern Art of Bogotá, he encountered an exhibition on the role of quartz in the universe. This experience deeply moved him, sparking a lifelong fascination with the unseen structures that shape existence. Over time, he discovered fractals within lines, recognizing the mathematical beauty present in nature.
Motivated by this realization, Orlando developed an obsession with the organic patterns of life. His childhood memories of growing up on a farm resurfaced, where the rooster, with its commanding presence and rhythmic crow, became a symbol of power and mystery in his artistic vision. This connection to nature and cycles of time continues to influence his work.
To expand his creative expression, Orlando pursued studies in graphic design, 3D modeling, and interior design. These disciplines provided him with new tools to refine his artistic language, reinforcing his need to share his vision, art, and journey with the world.
After moving to Canada, Orlando immersed himself in yoga, which led him to the path of meditation. Through this practice, he connected deeply with vibrations, frequencies, and consciousness, realizing that everything in the universe is energy and intrinsically linked. This understanding transformed his artistic approach, as he now seeks to translate these invisible forces into his paintings.
Today, Orlando’s work is a reflection of his journey—an exploration of color, fractals, and the interconnectedness of all things. Through his art, he invites the viewer to see beyond the surface, to feel the resonance of the universe, and to experience the beauty of existence in its purest form.
